PASCO, Wash. -- Police shot at a Pasco man Thursday night after he pointed a shotgun at them.

A press release says officers responded to a house on the 1200 block of Road 68 for a domestic disturbance. Officers heard a fight going on and tried to contact people inside of the house.

Police say Christopher Lee Murphy, 40, came out of the house with a shotgun and pointed it at officers. Officers then fired multiple at him.

Murphey went back into the house but was not shot during the incident. Captain Jim Raymond said it’s unclear if Murphy fired at officers. Murphy eventually came out of the house and he was arrested. He was booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of first-degree assault.

Neighbors say they've heard the man yelling at his parents in the house many times before.

"My wife and i were flat on the floor after hearing gun. and we were relieved with two things. that he wasn't killed and that they apprehended him," says neighbor Kirby Turley.

No one was injured.

The investigation is on going.
