New steakhouse planned for Richland

ANTHONY'S RESTAURANTS NEWS RELEASE -- Anthony’s Restaurants is excited to announce that Budd’s Broiler is coming to Columbia Point.  The restaurant will be located on the site of Anthony’s Banquet and Event Center at 450 Columbia Point Drive in Richland. The Banquet Center will continue to host private parties through the December 2014 holiday season.  In January, construction will begin on Anthony’s newest restaurant; an approachable, comfortable steakhouse specializing in premium Northwest beef.

Anthony’s has hired George Oakley and David McVey of McVey Oakley Design Studio to design the new steakhouse.  Their design will emphasize the spectacular riverfront setting creating a restaurant that is perfect for memorable celebrations as well as casual drop in dining.  They describe the unique soaring space as the perfect place to create a restaurant that captures the feel of an Anthony’s restaurant and yet, is unique and distinctive living up to expectations of local guests.

The focal point of the Broiler menu will be premium Northwest beef perfectly prepared.  Anthony’s has a long history of working with Snake River Farms and Double R Ranch to bring quality beef to their seafood restaurants.  Anthony’s ages their own beef and each restaurant hand cuts their own steaks.  Budd’s Broiler will expand Anthony’s commitment to these local ranches with a broader selection of meats and chops.  Keeping with the Anthony’s tradition, the menu will be complemented by Anthony’s fresh seafood, local in season produce, Washington wines, beer and liquor.

The beautiful wood back bar will remain as a highlight of the lounge at Budd’s Broiler.  A large selection of hand crafted cocktails showcasing liquor from Washington’s growing list of distillers will be featured.  Fun and high energy, the bar will be a great place for after work gatherings.  It will open to a large outside deck for warm weather eating and drinking with a great view of the marina and boating activities on the Columbia River.

The restaurant will offer incomparable private dining for banquets and group celebrations.  From family events to boardroom meetings and executive dinners.

Budd’s Broiler’s intimate dining options along with our professional team will create the perfect environment for those special gatherings.

“We are very excited to announce our new steakhouse.  It was our original intent for the property when we purchased the location in 2006”, says Anthony’s owner Budd Gould. “We believe that the time is right to make the transformation.”   Budd continues, “Our guests at Anthony’s at Columbia Point have been so supportive of our restaurant and we are so thankful to them for that support.  We are thrilled to offer another dining option at Columbia Point for them to enjoy.”

Anthony’s Banquet and Event Center will continue to take reservations for banquets and private events to be held through December 31, 2014.
