THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF OREGON AND SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON...INCLUDING THE
FOLLOWING AREAS...IN OREGON...FOOTHILLS OF THE NORTHERN BLUE
MOUNTAINS OF OREGON...GRANDE RONDE VALLEY...JOHN DAY BASIN...
NORTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS OF OREGON...SOUTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS OF
OREGON AND WALLOWA COUNTY. IN SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON...FOOTHILLS
OF THE BLUE MOUNTAINS OF WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST BLUE
MOUNTAINS OF WASHINGTON.

* THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING

* RAIN HAS INCREASED ACROSS THE BLUE MOUNTAINS AND WILL CONTINUE
TO SPREAD EAST INTO WALLOWA COUNTY TONIGHT. THE RAIN MAY BE
HEAVY AT TIMES WITH AMOUNTS OF UP TO 1 INCH EXPECTED BY SATURDAY
EVENING.

* SNOW LEVELS WILL BE INCREASING TO NEAR 7000 FEET BY SATURDAY
MORNING AND THE RAIN WILL COMBINE WITH SNOW MELT TO CAUSE
INCREASED RUNOFF. THIS WILL CAUSE RAPID RISES IN STREAMS AND
CREEKS WITH SOME MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE.

* BANKFULL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ON MANY RIVERS...BUT THE
LARGER RIVERS INCLUDING THE WALLA WALLA...GRANDE RONDE...
UMATILLA AND JOHN DAY ARE NOT EXPECTED TO REACH FLOOD STAGE.

* THE SNOW LEVELS WILL BE LOWERING TO NEAR 4000 FEET BY SUNDAY
MORNING...BUT IT WILL TAKE A LITTLE LONGER FOR THE RUNOFF TO
TAPER BACK AND STREAM LEVELS TO DECREASE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
