BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- A murder suspect was transferred from jail in Umatilla County to Benton County.

Noah Matlack, 18, was booked Tuesday afternoon into Benton County Jail. Matlack is awaiting trial for the murder of Michael Edwards.

A second man, Noel Gonzalez, 19, is also being held in Benton County on 1st degree murder charges.

Edwards, 55, was found stabbed to death last month outside the Assembly of God Church in Benton City.

The Oregon Governor's Office approved Matlack's extradition from Oregon to Washington.
