Man killed in Walla Walla structure fire
WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Authorities say a 52-year-old man died Sunday morning in a structure fire in Walla Walla.

According to the Walla Walla Fire Department, it appears Gary Cable intentionally set the fire.

The fire was reported just before 5:45 a.m. in an outbuilding in the 800 block of North 9th Avenue. Police officers saw smoke coming from an outbuilding and reported someone might have been inside.

After firefighters controlled the fire, they searched the building and discovered Cable inside.

The fire did not spread beyond the outbuilding. Damage has been estimated at $5,000.
