Local kids score big on Easter candy

Local kids score big on Easter candy
RICHLAND - Hundreds of kids scrambled to fill their Easter baskets Saturday.

We caught up the hunt put on by the Arc of the Tri-Cities! Thousands of eggs - filled with candy - stretched across Columbia Point Park.

Organizers welcomed kids with developmental disabilities and their siblings - they also had an egg hunt for foster kids.

We talked to some kids -- who divulged their hunting strategies:

- "We had a plan where we would stuff his pockets -- and we got a lot more."
- "There was a lot of eggs which was right over there -- and there were like 20 -- and no one was there."
- "I turned my shirt around and once I got my bucket and filled it -- I started filling my hood."

If you missed your chance to egg hunt Saturday - Northwest United Protestant Church in Richland is hosting one at 11am Sunday - free to the public.
