WASHINGTON -- Liquor sales are up almost three-percent since booze became more widely-available.

Just from June to September, more than 13 million liters of liquor have been sold. There has been a slight increase in the price.. An average of $24 per bottle compared to $21 last year. Businesses owners say most customers have been willing to trade the higher price for the new convenience of purchasing it.

One local owner tells KEPR, "Business is booming.. In June, we were all scared. It's not that high of a difference to what it used to be, but it's enough far our usual drinkers to notice. "

Store owners told KEPR that the holidays usually bring in a boost in sales as well.
