Kennewick police bust burglary suspects
--KENNEWICK POLICE NEWS RELEASE -- On 3/31/2012 at approximately 3:00 am Kennewick Police Officer Meiners located a stolen vehicle that was parked at the Blue Bridge Motel (300 N. Ely St) unoccupied. Upon further investigation the suspects in the auto theft were located in room 163. A search warrant was obtained and four individuals were taken into custody without incident. Upon searching the room several stolen items were located to include stolen firearms from a previous Kennewick burglary and stolen property from a Richland burglary. Kennewick Police and Richland Police are currently working together in this investigation.
Two of the suspects located inside were already suspects in the original Kennewick burglary.
A juvenile female was arrested on suspicion of Burglary in the 1st Degree, auto theft and possession of stolen firearms. Joseph Gaylord of Kennewick was arrested on suspicion of Burglary in the 1st Degree, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and booked into Benton County Jail. Another male was booked into Benton County Jail on unrelated warrants and the third male was released.
All of the stolen firearms were safely recovered.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
