Kennewick getting national attention
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Kennewick is one of America's healthiest small cities, according to a ranking by Gallup. It came in at number ten, a nicer-than-average place to live.

Gallup gave Kennewick a rating of 68.8 out of 100 on its Well-Being Index. That's more than two points above the national average.

Gallup says Kennewick ranked well because of the population's frequency of exercise, consumption of fresh produce, and optimism.

But the city did have some marks against it: high incidences of both diabetes and obesity, complicated by a low rate of insurance coverage.

Bremerton and Bellingham also made Gallup's top-ten list.
