Heat wave has AC units breaking a sweat

TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- All this heat has many of you cranking up the air conditioners. And some just haven't handled the extreme heat. AC companies were hit hard this weekend with emergency house calls to repair air conditioners. We followed a technician on his third stop with a blown capacitor, often caused by having it on full blast right away.
Troy from Campbell and Co. explains, "When it gets really hot out like right now, you get your capaciter blown and there ya go you lose your AC. I know I'm gonna be working a late night, so I just get ready, drink coffee and lots of water.. Cause you're gonna be sweating a whole lot."
Dispatchers were left with dozens of calls over the weekend that they had to catch up on today, pushing appointments back if you started having problems today. It could take a couple more days for them to get to you.
