Give the gift of life - Get your own gift in return

Just a few more days until Thanksgiving -- Then, of course, is the countdown to Christmas.
And to help you along, the Red Cross is once again holding its annual "12 Days of Giving" blood drive.
It's a chance for the organization to build up its blood reserves, while you also get a gift in return. It's held over the course of 12 business days in December, at various locations across the Tri Cities.
It's a great partnership between local business, who donate things like manicures, bottles of local wine, and gift certificates.
Starting Monday, November 19, you can call the Red Cross to make your appointment at 1-800-RED-CROSS. You'll have your choice of locations and times. Then, all you have to do is show up to donate blood. And in exchange, you'll walk out with a gift of your own.

Jehovah's Witnesses blood transfusion confusion Jehovah's Witnesses take blood products now in 2012. They take all fractions of blood. This includes hemoglobin, albumin, clotting factors, cryosupernatant and cryo-poor too, and many, many, others. I
f one adds up all the blood fractions the JWs takes, it equals a whole unit of blood. Any, many of these fractions are made from thousands upon thousands of units of donated blood. Â Jehovah's Witnesses now accept every fraction of blood except the membrane of the red blood cell.
