PASCO, Wash. -- Two more Franklin County Public Works employees are off the job for their possible involvement in a multi-million dollar fraud scandal.

Commissioners fired another employee after three separate closed-door sessions Monday. Public Works Director Tim Fife and Public Works Administrator Guy Walters were placed on unpaid administrative leave.

Commissioners said they lost confidence in their leadership after Finance Director Dennis Huston was accused of stealing over 3 million dollars in taxpayer money.

Huston was already fired from the county and is still awaiting criminal charges.

The other two have been on paid leave since early February.

Action News has learned Benton County Public Works employees will be taking over their responsibilities temporarily.
