FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. -- Washington state's biggest alleged fraud case, is on hold once again. Dennis Huston was in court again today, only to push back his trial til next year. The former head of accounting at Franklin County Public Works says he's not guilty of embezzling millions of your taxpayer dollars. The state is prosecuting the case and still sorting through nearly five-thousand pages of evidence before writing a report.
Scott Marlow, the Asst. Attrorney General explains, "They go through each piece of paper. The people assigned to this case are incredibly thorough. Each invoice, each bank statement and matching those up."
A report from the state is expected to be handed over to the Franklin County Auditor for review before it's given to the defense.
