Then on Sunday, a work truck was stolen from a man's driveway on the 2000 block of West Seventh. The truck belongs to Valmont Northwest and is a 2003 Chevy 3500 pickup. The truck is a one ton "dully" pickup and has a cherry picker hoist on it. It is bronze in color and has tool boxes on one side. The truck and equipment is valued at $70,000.

Also on Sunday, a man reported his 1997 Honda Accord was stolen from an apartment complex on N. Center Parkway.

Someone tried to steal a 1993 Honda Accord the same weekend. There was damage to the ignition while the car was parked on S. Irving. Nothing was taken. It looked to be an unsuccessful attempt to steal the vehicle.

Finally, a car was stolen shortly before sunrise on Sunday from the 8000 block of W. Hood Avenue. The car was a 1997 Honda Accord. It was parked in front of a home and was locked.

Police want you to be on the lookout for suspicious people in your neighborhood. The stolen license plates may be connected to the stolen cars because thieves will use these to hide a stolen car.
