KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Kennewick family fishing pond is stocked and loaded. Nearly ten-thousand trout were poured into the pond near the Playground of Dreams today.

It's for this weekend's Kid's Fishing Day. Most fish weigh about two-pounds. The event kicks off tomorrow with a couple of hundred special needs kids getting the first crack at the trout. Then on Saturday it's open to all kids.

"I get million dollar worth smiles from them when they catch their first fish, and that's what keeps my group and myself going year after year, your hooked when they hook their first fish, but we get hooked watching them hook 'em," said operator Ken Johanning.

There are still openings if you want to participate. Come to the event Saturday and sign up once you get there and fishing poles will be available.
