KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Local protestors took part in a national protest Thursday. They were on the corner of U.S. 395 and Kennewick Avenue - in front of McDonald's.

All of the rallies across the country are to demonstrate fast-food workers want higher pay. Many say they should be making $15 an hour.

Businesses say if they paid wages that high, they couldn't offer as many job opportunities.
