Police Chief named CBC Alumnus of the Year
CBC NEWS RELEASE-- Kennewick Police Chief Ken Hohenberg is the 2012-2013 Columbia Basin College Alumnus of the Year. Hohenberg graduated from CBC in 1976 with a degree in law enforcement. Hohenberg's service to CBC and the community, in addition to his position as police chief, earned him the annual alumnus award.

Hohenberg is a life-long Tri-Citian. Throughout his life, Ken has led fundraising campaigns for numerous projects including United Way's annual campaign as well as serving as its chairman, focused on the development of our youth through his work with the Boys and Girls Club, the Reading Foundation, Special Olympics, Campfire board, the Mid-Columbia Education Alliance and the Kennewick Schools Dare Program.
He was named the 2009 Tri-Citian of the Year.

For CBC, Ken has served on the Criminal Justice program advisory board. Both Ken's daughters graduated from CBC, transferred to four-year schools, and went on to become teachers. Ken also spearheaded the fundraising scholarship campaign for CBC's first criminal justice instructor, Jim Ownby. CBC is proud to name Ken Hohenberg the 2012-2013 Alumnus of the Year.
