RICHLAND - KEPR found a new food truck in Richland and it's one of the first in the Tri-Cities to serve wood-fired Pizzas.
Esternos Pizza has been open for a couple weeks and is located off Queensgate behind the new Sterling's. It's a family-run business.
Mike Fielder brought the idea over from the Seattle area. This is the sixth mobile pizza shop he's opened and says coming to the Tri-Cities was an obvious choice.
“We already buy our wood from the Yakima Valley, that's our source of fuel it's apple wood, so why not come over here and see how it does over here,” said Fielder. “It fits to the theme of the wineries and I think people need it over here.”
The restaurant is open every day from 11 to 8. Pizzas are $8 for a personal size and $16 for a 14-inch.
