RICHLAND, Wash. - The corner of George Washington Way and Aaron Drive tends to be one of the worst spots in for traffic in Richland. The city is taking measures to try and make it safer.

New dividers along the right turn lane off Highway 240 are geared to keep cars in their lanes.

Cars turning left onto Columbia Point Drive often cut over too quickly, causing crashes and back-ups as cars try to turn into the Winco parking lot.

Drivers say the change has helped.

Michelle Kenney "It makes it a lot easier to merge. I think more people are looking where they're going and so now have a little bit of a divider eases the traffic."

Richland is working with the state to make more changes to this intersection next year.
