BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - Every dog will have their day in court. That is the goal for Benton Count for dogs who are deemed "dangerous" or "potentially harmful" will now be a case in court.

Right now, an owner has to appeal for the dog to avoid being put down once it's deemed dangerous, which costs more than $200. A new rule would have all appeals heard in district court for a flat fee of $83. The goal is to cut down costs for Benton County residents.
