Crash briefly closes State Route 17 near Mesa
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. -- A Tuesday morning crash involving a semi-truck closed State Route 17 north of Mesa for about three hours.

The accident occurred around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. Washington State Patrol says a Toyota Camry drifted over the center line and hit the truck head-on.

The driver of the car, 37-year-old Ramez Farag of Kennewick, was taken to Kadlec Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the truck was not injured.

The highway was closed between mileposts 7 and 14 until 12:45 p.m., when one lane was opened to traffic. Crews cleared the accident completely just after 2 p.m.
