BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- A 33-year-old woman is set to go on trial for vehicular homicide a week from Monday. Natalie Lincoln is accused of being impaired by prescription medication at the time she was driving.

Lincoln told investigators she looked down to adjust her cruise control and crossed the center line. She hit and killed 50-year-old Steve Covert.

The case was initially considered an accident. But then blood tests suggested the possible impairment, and prosecutors filed criminal charges.
