Convicted child rapist sentenced
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - Lucas Miller will definitely spend eight-years in prison. But anything after that is a big question mark.

The state would need to approve his release. Without that the 22-year old may be behind bars for life on a child rape conviction.

Miller attacked at least one child at Kid's World on Comstock. Prosecutors believed there were other victims but could not prove those case.

Expecting his son to be sentenced weeks ago, Tony Miller had told KEPR he was still hoping Lucas may get out.

"Some hope that he would be able to get out, go to counseling on his own and get on with his life. He wants help. He's ready to move on," he said.

Lucas Miller admitted to his crime and pleaded guilty without a trial. Miller told the court he was "going through a rough patch" and "took out his aggressions" on the kids.

If he was ever to be released -- he would have to register as a sex offender for life.
