KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A huge plume of smoke could be seen near Columbia Center Boulevard Wednesday morning.

It was a car fire. The pickup caught fire around 8 a.m. It was parked outside a home on Grand Ronde Avenue.

Neighbors say there were some explosions as the flames spread and the tires popped.

"I was just sleeping in my bed and I heard what sounded like gun shots. So we came out here and it turns out there was a car on fire. I thought it was gun shots. I thought I heard a 9mm and a shotgun," says neighbor Patrick Blackwell.

No one was hurt. It's not clear what started the fire.
