Run for Ribbons participants decorate t-shirts for race
KENNEWICK - Encouraging hope and battling cancer in creative ways. It was the goal of the t-shirt decorating party at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Friday.

The Run for Ribbons event takes place April 27th. Registered participants each got a white t-shirt with a blank ribbon. That way, they could decorate it to represent the type of cancer that impacted their lives.

We spoke with one woman who survived inflammatory breast cancer - after first getting diagnosed with Stage Four a handful of years ago.

"To be able to say that people do survive this and not everybody dies from cancer, and people can see there are good things that come out of this, too," said cancer survivor Mary Docken.

It's not too late to register! You can still sign up -- even on race-day! Check out our line on KEPRTV.com.
