The fair donated two dollars for every adult who walked through the doors the first day before 2:00 p.m.
The money will buy more than 11,136 pounds of food. All of it will stay here in the Tri-Cities.
“Second Harvest is honored by the Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo’s continued support, especially since we continue to help feed more people than ever before,” said Jean Tucker, development manager.
The fair has donated more than 40,000 pounds of food in the last six years.
