Some workers from Kennewick's Teen Shelter have formed an art group to help at-risk teens. So far, about 20 kids have signed up.
They hope to showcase artwork that talks about topics like the gang and drug culture. Members tell it's about making our community a safer place.
"It's an art organization for youth -- to just get together and like put our ideas or whatever -- to contribute to the community," said art group member Husaya Hama.
The group hopes to raise $3,500 before a giant art show in June.
