SELAH, Wash. -- High wind fueled a brush fire in Selah Tuesday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 2:30 p.m. just below Hillcrest Drive.

No homes were damaged by the flames.

It burned a few steps away from the site of another brush fire last month.

Neighbors say they don't typically see so many fires on the hillside.

"Just like Cindy's neighbors were giving hoses for the lady trying to get her hillside down and before you knew it the fire department was on it," said Curt Goodall whose parents live at the foot of the hill. "So hats off to them."

Firefighters say last month's fire started from a child playing with a lighter.

It's not clear how this one started.
