PASCO, Wash. -- The costs associated with defending Vicente Ruiz will not be kept secret anymore. Ruiz's defense team pushed hard to protect that information, claiming it would taint a jury pool and not give their client a fair trial. But once a judge agreed to use a jury from out of town, the judge also decided to release those records.

Ruiz is accused of murdering five people in a Pasco autobody shop 23 years ago. His two other trials ended in mistrials. Once those records are available, KEPR will certainly report them to you.
