PASCO--A new meat market in Pasco just opened up.

Karne Max is on Road-68 next to Hapo.

The owners say there's a need for this type of place in West Pasco because of the growing population.

They have specialty meats, a deli with traditional Mexican food, and other products.

“We were afraid people wouldn't welcome a new market like this in the area, it's different than downtown Pasco, so we were concerned that we wouldn't have the community support,” Abby Sanchez with Karne Max said.

Karne Max says so far business has been great, and it claims to be the only meat market in this region with Kobe beef.
