FINLEY—Fifty neglected cats was bad enough, but now we're learning closer to 70 cats were abandoned at a home in Finley last month.
Animal rescuers tell us they have enough money to spay or neuter the ones who survived thanks to your donations. Some will be ready to adopt soon. Ira Steinwand is a volunteer at the house. He says medicine and food are only part of the equation.
"Lots of love is what helps them come back and they'll be ready for the adoptions so that's what the love helps to do,” said Steinwand
Many of the cats were sick and some had to be put down. Some are still at risk of losing eyes due to infection. The woman who owned the cats is facing cruelty charges.
