Water Follies Food Vendors Report Record Sales
KENNEWICK - One of the biggest events of the year is coming to a close. Water Follies 2010 is in the books.

So now the question: how was the turnout? Exact numbers aren't in yet but there is one way to gauge the crowd. They've gotta eat!

Action News went and talked to a number of food vendors down at Columbia Park Sunday.

Everyone we talked to says this was the best year yet.

"We've had the best Friday we ever had and we've been here for 10 years. Yesterday was as good as Saturday last year and if we have a good day today we'll beat last year which was our biggest ever," said Gene Cote with Knights of Columbus.

"This year is more busy. More people are buying and we had almost 600 shish-kabobs sold," said Nany Hunt with Manila Filipino Food.

KEPR called up the folks at the Follies for the latest numbers Sunday after the last race. They say about 55,000 people showed up Sunday.

The total count for the weekend isn't ready yet.
