Car Prowls Down In Pendleton
PENDLETON - KEPR has been telling you about a surge of car prowls in Pendleton. Since we first reported the problem in March, the numbers were sliced in half.
Back then, 70 cars had been prowled in just the first two months of the year. Police tell us they've caught the man responsible for most of them. Since then, there's been about a dozen a month. This Pendleton lifer wasn't worried either way.
"I've lived here in Pendleton for 24 years and I feel safe anywhere parking my car in Pendleton. As far as the car prowls, I just don't think we have much of a problem," said Pendleton's Tygh Campbell.
Pendleton P.D. tell us more people are locking their car doors as well.
