No Teachers Losing Jobs In Hermiston
HERMISTON - Hermiston teachers are breathing a sigh of relief as the budget is finalized and no jobs are on the chopping block.
KEPR dug into the school budget for next year. You may remember, last year the district had to let go of 20 teachers. The biggest cut is to summer school - not jobs.
"It's a great feeling, especially for our younger teachers. They are excited they can start planning for next year and not have to worry about finding a job. We're ready to go. The young ones can step into their roles as second and third year teachers," said P.E. Teacher Tani Houk.
