"Bad" Local Stimulus Project on Hannity Show
KENNEWICK--We've mentioned those $10,000 fish sculptures on Canal Drive a number of times and now Sean Hannity is getting all riled up about them as well.

His show on Fox News Channel highlighted the project as a “wasteful" stimulus project. Hannity calls it bad project number 101 of 102.

But Kennewick's Ken Nelson still defends the project and says Fox News interviewed him over the phone this morning.

“The primary part of the project was a half a mile of sidewalk. 600 feet of landscape island. I tried to explain that to them that these programs, they set aside about three percent of the transportation dollars for these kind of projects,” said Nelson.

The project cost $140,000. Ten thousand dollars went to the fish.

Nelson told us he does not plan to watch the show because he has a meeting, but he says he will “Ti-vo” it.
