PASCO-- In the next 12 months the City of Pasco is looking to buy land from a couple dozen businesses along Lewis Street.
So far it’s bought two of twenty-six.
The city will meet with business owners on February 25th to talk about using their land to put in a bridge, and replace the underpass.
Nick Gutierrrez owns three of the 24 businesses says he's mainly concerned about the time leading up to him moving out.
“Once they do that construction it's going to impact sales. Probably sales are going to go down for quite a while,” said Gutierrez.
Still, he believes the overpass is good for the economy.
He plans to move his three businesses to Road 68, even though he's been on Lewis Street for a decade.
