WALLA WALLA--Continuing coverage of those cameras that went in at Pioneer Middle School.

They've only been up three-months,but the school is already seeing results.

Pioneer says serious discipline referrals are down 60%.

“They are definitely successful. They save me a lot of time. The kids know they are out there. Basically what they allow us to do is pour cold water on a hot spot before it explodes into a major fire,” Jack Mehn, the Assistant Principal Pioneer Middle School said.

Pioneer says they attribute good behavior not only to the cameras, but also to other programs at the school.

Programs that reward students for good behavior and allow older students to mentor younger ones.
