This week the city got the green light to build here on Columbia Drive. This is across from Worksource and the existing Blue Mountain site. The expansion will allow the school to add 500 students. It's good news for many hermiston residents who can't travel to Pendleton's campus.
"We've got a tremendous amount of people in our area that have low income and don't have a chance to further their education. This will certainly do that," said Hermiston Mayor Bob Severson.
These plans will start taking physical shape by the summer when they break ground.
