The City of Kennewick counts 17 crashes in 2009 alone.
It's been the most dangerous intersection in Kennewick since 2003.
Pasco says its most dangerous intersection was at Interstate 182 and Road 68. That busy spot saw 11 crashes in 2009.
In Richland, the crash hot spot was in Meadow Springs at Leslie and Gage, with 14 wrecks.
But just because an intersection is dangerous now, doesn't mean it has to stay that way.
For example, traffic engineers put in a dedicated green left hand arrow at Columbia Point and George Washington Way and lowered the number of crashes by two-thirds, from 25 in 2008, to 6 in 2009.
At Okanogan and Columbia Center Boulevard, a new blinking, yellow arrow made a dent in the ranking of the intersection from most or second most dangerous intersection to five on the list.
