Check Hours Before You Head to the Courthouse
By Lena Vargas
Budget cuts in Franklin County don't just mean longer lines at the Franklin County Courthouse. They also mean several other offices are cutting back on hours. That includes the prosecuting attorney's office, and the county clerk’s office.
That can be inconvenient for the public. But you might not know until you make a trip. None of this information is available in a central location. County employees recommend you check with individual departments before you go to the courthouse. By the way, District Court hasn't reduced its hours, but it will require all employees to take a furlough day every month until financial issues are resolved. |
