Tom Halazon is racing the Tri-Cities marathon to raise money for his wife's ovarian cancer support group.
Tom planned to run his first marathon for his 60th birthday -- but cancer prevented him. This time, he's cancer-free and started training in February.
He gets up every morning at four AM and hits the pavement at five. Tom says he only has one thing in mind.
"I was thinking about my wife. It's going to maybe ache and pain me for about six hours. Maybe five and a half to six hours - but she went through six months of pain and heartache," said Tom Halazon.
With the help of two rotary clubs, Tom has raised six-thousand dollars so far.
