PASCO -- Another sentencing Tuesday in connection with the death of Tiairra Garcia.

This time, Ashone Hollinquest was given one year for his role in her death. But he's already spent nearly a year behind bars so this sentence means he'll be out in weeks.

Tiairra's mother, Donna Garcia, was beside herself.

"Instead, choosing to let her die and dump her body like common road kill, discarding her body in a way of showing no mercy or even heart."

Those involved in her death have said Tiairra's body was left at Mount Rainier. Hollinquest said he was too scared to stop it.

"I can only say I wish I had the willpower and the strength to overcome what happened that night," Hollinquest said.

Hollinquest apologized and said he wished he lost his own life that day. A tussle over a gun left Tiairra shot in a van. Tiairra's boyfriend, Marnicus Lockhard, is serving eight years for his role in her death.

Despite the seemingly short sentence for Hollinquest, the judge said it was fair. Tiairra's body has still not been found.
