WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic Sen. Patty Murray of Washington state has amassed a huge campaign war chest as she considers a run for a fourth term next year.

Murray has not announced her plans but is widely expected to seek re-election. A new campaign finance report shows Murray has raised more than $5.5 million, including more than $1 million in the past three months.

Murray has more than $3.2 million cash on hand - enough to unnerve any potential challenger. No prominent Republican has announced plans to take on Murray, although some GOP leaders in Washington state and Washington, D.C., have encouraged Rep. Dave Reichert, R-Wash, to consider the Senate race.

Reichert listed $140,193 on hand as of March 31. His fundraising was for re-election to the House.
