3 teens dead in Walla Walla accident
WALLA WALLA SHERIFF'S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE -- The Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office is extremely saddened to notify you of this report.

Deputies from the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible traffic collision in the area of 3900 Mill Creek Road on Sunday May 25, 2014 at approximately 3:00 am.

Upon arrival, Deputies, along with personnel from Walla Walla County Fire District 4, determined that a single vehicle roll-over traffic accident had occurred and that all three occupants were apparently killed in the traffic accident. All three occupants, one female teenager and two male teenagers, were pronounced deceased at the scene. The three deceased persons were Walla Walla High School students. The coroner released their identities as Athena Bentley age 15, Uziel Bermoy age 16 and Aidan Boede age 17.

At this initial investigatory stage, speed is believed to have played a part in this collision. Whether or not any other factors were involved in this incident are still under investigation. This investigation is ongoing.

Walla Walla Public Schools Superintendent Mick Miller was notified to assist in the positive identification of one of the deceased, to assist in locating next of kin, and in order to allow the school district to make preparations due to this tragic incident.
