RICHLAND-- More than 2,000 people rallied for Aidan Zaugg and Cooper Larson Sunday. Both boys are suffering from a rare form or brain cancer.

Brad DeWitt and Brad Anderson began organizing an annual softball tournament three years ago, after they both lost their mothers to cancer. All the proceeds go to cancer patients and their families.

Thirty teams played this year, and every year more vendors and bigger crowds show up for the party. But the cause is never forgotten.

"If you lose a family member to cancer, I think it's a pretty tough deal, so our goal is to try to make the dreadful process as painless as possible," said DeWitt.

In the past, the money raised has helped with medical costs not covered by insurance. DeWitt said he planned to surpass their goal of $25,000.
