Former Co-Worker Speaks About Suspected Killer Phiengchai Sisouvahn
PASCO -- It's been almost a week since the gruesome murder at Columbia Park, and now more people are coming forward to talk about the suspected killer Phiengchai Sisouvanh.
Sisouvanh worked for several nursing homes throughout the area, and along the way, met many other nursing assistants.
Friday, one of those assistants came forward.
But the woman still wanted to remain anonymous.
"I knew Jume, that's her nickname, that's what we called her," the former co-worker said.
For two years, this woman said Jume was her former co-worker and friend at a Pasco nursing home for the elderly.
"(She was) just very nice but after a while of knowing her she just tended to lie a lot about certain things and certain things didn't always add up," she said.
In fact, "certain things didn't add up" on a daily basis, according to this woman. A glaring example, Jume's repeated claims that she was pregnant.
"She was really excited about the baby, and you know, she would talk about it constantly, that when she found out she was having a boy she was really excited. She really wanted a boy."
But in the two years this nursing assistant worked with Jume, Jume never had a baby. Even ultrasound pictures were promised, but never materialized.
"She claimed she was married to a Russian guy, and I don't think that was true," the co-worker said.
Even more strange, Jume apparently handed out wedding invitations for her and fiance named Vitaly. But when the wedding day came, and guests arrived, this woman said no one was there.
Documents show Sisouvanh married Keun Synhavong just a month-and-a-half ago.
"It seemed like he was just imaginary, like he never existed," said the co-worker. "She lied like she wanted people to like her or something and wanted people to accept her, and she thought it she didn't say these things or claim to be somebody that nobody would like her."
After two years, Jume suddenly quit the nursing home and this woman lost contact.
Until last weekend... when news broke of the gruesome murder.
Cops said Phienghchai Sisouvanh murdered a Pasco mother, cut out her baby and tried to pass off the infant boy as her own.
"I think she had this in her head for a while," she said.
Why did she think that?
"Cause I mean I just don't think she could keep up with the lie anymore, like she had to do something about it. She had to have a baby."
The brutal killing has this woman looking back on her friendship with Jume in fear.
The victim, Aaraceli Camacho Gomez, was 8-and-a-half months pregnant with a baby boy.
So is this woman.
"Now that I think about it, since I'm going to have a baby soon, It's like, it's like, I think back and that could've been me."
