BENTON COUNTY, WASH. -- The Benton County Prosecutor filed one count of 1st degree murder against Robert McCorkindale, one of two suspects held for the murder of Preston Yahne. Prosecutors are not filing murder charges against the second suspect, Laura Bancroft.

Here's the official statement from the prosecutor:

The Benton County Prosecutor’s Office filed an information charging Robert Bruce McCorkindale , dob 3-26-1989 with one count of Murder in the First Degree for the death of Preston Yahne.  The information was filed on Friday June 28th and arraignment will be held on July 3, 2013. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation concerning the death of Mr. Yahne including possible involvement by Laura Bancroft. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office and Benton County Prosecutor’s Office have agreed that there is not enough information or evidence at this time concerning Laura Bancroft to make a decision as to whether Ms. Bancroft should face formal charges concerning the murder of Mr. Yahne. Any decisions as to whether Ms. Bancroft will be charged with Rendering Criminal Assistance or Arson in connection with the alleged burning of Mr. Yahne’s car and body will be made by the Yakima County Prosecutor’s office as that alleged act occurred in Yakima County
