THE DALLES, Ore. -- A crash involving a commercial truck and a semi sent two people to the hospital Thursday morning, according to Oregon State Police.
The driver of a commercial truck pulling a semi-trailer lost control on westbound Interstate 84 around 4:45 a.m., according to senior trooper Kendra Raiser. The truck rolled onto its side blocking the westbound lanes.
Two people were taken to a hospital in The Dalles with non life-threatening injuries. Officials said their names would be released later in the day.
Three tow trucks worked to remove the truck shortly after 8:00 a.m.
A detour was put in place for westbound traffic by taking Exit 109 at Rufus and using Old Highway 30. ODOT officials did not have an estimated time for re-opening the westbound lanes.
