NWS FORECAST — A cold front Friday afternoon will bring widespread gusty winds over most of Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon.
Southwest-West winds sustained at 25-35 mph gusting to 50 mph can be expected in many areas.
Winds will be strongest from 2 PM to 8 PM this afternoon and evening.
A moist west-northwest flow aloft will send surges of Pacific moisture across Washington and Oregon Friday afternoon and evening.
This will result in steady rain and high elevation snow along the Cascades and the eastern mountains, especially along the Blue Mountains and the Wallowa Mountains.
Precipitation will taper off to scattered showers overnight.
