YAKIMA, Wash. -- Another brush fire broke out along Ahtanum Ridge. Crews worked quickly to keep it from spreading Wednesday night.
It burned on Yakama Nation land, which had reservation crews out, as well as those from Yakima District 5.
The flames burned for about two hours while crews brought in dozers to create a fireline.
It was finally put out around 10:00 p.m.
No word yet just how many acres were burned or how it started.
This is the second fire on Ahtanum Ridge in the last month. A fire ripped across the ridge in August.
Several homes were threatened in that fire but none were destroyed.
